THE HOLOCAUST: HISTORY AND THEOLOGY This course covers the history of The Shoah, The Holocaust in Europe 1933-1945, and interprets it from a biblical perspective. We discuss how attitudes of some in European Christendom promoted a 'teaching of contempt' toward the Jewish people and paved the way to the Holocaust. This study incorporates Jewish history and affirms the reliability of Scripture, illustrating and further explaining the Biblical narrative. It corrects misconceptions and prejudices regarding the Jewish people, as well as explains the Jewish opposition towards Christendom. The student will better understand the God of History and His unique relationship to His covenant people. In this series, Mottel also relates the experiences of his Grandparents during the violent Pogroms that swept Jewish villages in eastern Europe 100 years ago.
