Beth Messiah Messianic Congregation of Livingston, NJ

An Independent Faith Community of Jewish & Gentile Believers in Messiah Yeshua

We believe that the Jewish Torah (Scriptures) promised a Messiah for all the people of the world, the Messiah for both Jews and Gentiles. Yeshua (Jesus) was born as the fulfillment of those Bible promises. Only through faith in Him is there a way back to God. No Synagogue, Church or Temple can provide forgiveness of sin, only through the atonement made by Yeshua can we experience true peace with God.

Beth Messiah Messianic Congregation of Livingston, NJ is a growing, healthy Congregation, sound in doctrine and open to both Jews and Gentiles. We have a joyful service that will bless you!   Each service has a Scripture teaching by our Messianic Rabbi/Pastor, Irving Salzman, that really explains God's Word, as well as music that truly encourages worship. Each service ends with refreshments, fellowship and a chance to make new friends. Many young families with children attend as a true Messianic community has developed. Believers from non-Jewish backgrounds have also made this their home as they  discover the Jewish roots of their faith. We love Beth Messiah and you will too !!

Beth Messiah of Livingston, NJ meets every Saturday morning at 10:30, at 15 North Livingston Ave, corner of Rt. 10, just 1 mile from Interstate 280 exit 5-A. We also conduct Messianic Jewish Holiday gatherings, see our 'Events' page for info.

WE LOVE BEING JEWISH AND WE LOVE YESHUA,
THE JEWISH MESSIAH !!

Beth Messiah is a 'Messianic Jewish' Congregation. There are over 200 Messianic Congregations in the United States alone. These Congregations are made up of people of Jewish and non-Jewish backgrounds who believe that Yeshua (Jesus) is the promised Jewish Messiah, foretold in the Jewish Bible. Messianic Congregations are distinctly Jewish in culture. All celebrate Jewish Holidays and support the State of Israel and most have their main service on the Sabbath (Saturday).

Beth Messiah Congregation of Livingston New Jersey was established in 1983 by several Jewish residents of the area who desired a place to worship the God of Israel and learn more about the Messiah of Israel. They also wanted a Congregation where their children could learn to be proud of their rich Jewish heritage as well as their faith in Yeshua as Messiah. Gentile believers who embrace these distinctives are warmly welcomed at Beth Messiah as full and equal members.

Beth Messiah derives its doctrinal beliefs from the Bible alone. We believe that all of the Bible, both the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament, is inspired by God. The New Testament was written by Jewish writers to announce to the world the arrival of the long awaited Jewish Messiah.

Beth Messiah holds its main service every Saturday morning at 10:30 AM in a leased facility at 15 North Livingston Ave. Typically, our service consists of both traditional Jewish liturgy and contemporary joyful Messianic praise music. Liturgy includes the reciting of the Shema, V'Ahavta and Amidah in Hebrew as well as additional selections on holidays. Portions of the traditional ‘Parshat HaShavua are read, the same weekly Torah portion read in most other Synagogues.

Beth Messiah holds a number of other activities including programs for our children, a Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparatory class which includes Hebrew instruction, a Congregational Passover Seder, High Holy Days Services, women’s fellowship and special celebrations for Purim, Israel Independence Day and Hanukah. We also enjoy fun times at picnics and other get-togethers.

Beth Messiah is a totally independent, autonomous congregation. We are governed by our own Elders and Trustees. All funds are donated by members, the congregation does not receive any outside funding. While the congregation has no affiliation with any other organization, we maintain friendly relationships with other Messianic Jewish groups and with those churches which have a positive regard for the Jewish People.

Beth Messiah’s spiritual leader is Irving Salzman, who functions as Messianic Rabbi. He was born and raised in an Orthodox Jewish home in Montreal, where he attended Yeshiva.

Beth Messiah's members represent the same cross-section of education and income as does the Jewish community at large. We help our kids with their homework, assist aging parents and support Jewish charities including United Jewish Appeal, Jewish Family Services and JNF.

Most Importantly, at Beth Messiah Congregation we believe the promises of a Messiah that are found in the Jewish Bible.
He is portrayed there as the one who would, among other things, die as the atonement for sin.
The dozens of prophecies there all find fulfillment in Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah.
